For a first installation, use the download chooser for the current release. Historical files below are useful for checking past behavior or reproducing an issue.

What each version changes for you

These selected changes focus on editing, saving and file exchange. They summarize upstream records; they are not compatibility benchmarks across every computer and document.

v0.9.0

Worth checking if you exchange Photoshop action files, print from the app, or export grayscale images. Test an action on a copy before using it on a batch.

v0.8.2

Relevant if finishing a brush stroke or saving a document interrupted your work in v0.7.0. These are reported fixes, not a guarantee of identical performance on every computer.

  • Avoid the freeze previously seen when finishing a brush stroke. Official change
  • Run save encoding in the background, reducing work on the interactive interface. Official change
  • Improve PSD interoperability and decoding. Official change

v0.7.0

Useful context for older projects that use the Remove tool or OpenRaster. Keep a layered working document when you also need a flat image for sharing.

Where are v0.8.0 and v0.8.1?

As checked on 2026-10-15, v0.8.2 is the verifiable public Release entry in the v0.8.x series. No separate public Release entry was found for v0.8.0 or v0.8.1, so their publication dates and installer links cannot be confirmed.

The complete v0.8.2 changelog compares directly against v0.7.0. This page treats that span as one published release. See the official release list for additional history or later versions.

Before updating or rolling back

  1. Keep a working-document copy. Quit before replacing the application, then test opening, saving, exporting and reopening a copy.
  2. Use a complete package for the chosen version. Avoid mixing executables, supporting files and portable settings from different releases.
  3. Check backward file compatibility. An older build may not fully read a project saved by a newer one, especially after using a new feature. Preserve the earlier original.
  4. Record the version and error. Compare the same copied file, then follow the issue-reporting guide.

Use the Windows, macOS or Linux installation guide for setup. Those guides use the site's currently reviewed version; older releases need their own filenames and requirements.
